Trust and safety
Safety and Community
Meetable puts people at real tables. That means our safety rules are product rules, not fine print.
We review safety reports within 24 hours. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
Code of Conduct
- Treat every member, restaurant worker, and Meetable operator with respect.
- No harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, hate, discrimination, or sexual misconduct.
- No illegal activity, fraud, impersonation, solicitation, or commercial pitching at the table.
- Alcohol must stay moderate. Respect sobriety, dietary, religious, and personal boundaries.
- Ask for consent before touching someone, taking photos, posting content, or continuing contact.
- Post-dinner contact should be mutual. A no, silence, or block is final.
User-Generated Content
Profiles, photos, messages, feedback, and reports must not include illegal, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, exploitative, misleading, or impersonating content. Meetable uses a basic prefilter and human review as a stopgap while a production-grade classifier is selected.
Members can report concerns and block other members in the app. Severe reports may trigger immediate suspension while we investigate.
Moderation Policy
- Safety reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
- Severe issues can result in immediate suspension pending review.
- Minor violations may receive a warning; repeated minor violations can trigger a three-strike removal path.
- Permanent ejection applies for credible severe misconduct, threats, sexual misconduct, illegal activity, fraud, or repeated boundary violations.
- Members may appeal by emailing hello@meetable.social.
- We cooperate with law enforcement where legally required or where necessary to protect someone from imminent harm.
Report a Concern
Use the in-app report flow where possible because it attaches the relevant member, dinner, and message context. You can also email hello@meetable.social.
